My Emerilware 1-quart saucier was inexpensive, but works as well as the high-end brands.
This little one-quart Emerilware saucier is a good product for the price. It’s a budget saucier, yes, but it’s a very good quality budget saucier. This little saucier works just fine for sauces, soups, and such.
It has slightly thinner sides than the more expensive All-Clad Stainless, but it has a thick bottom with an aluminum and copper bonded base for good heat distribution. It has pour spouts and a comfortable handle. In fact, to be honest, I like the handle on this better than the ones on my expensive All-Clad pans.
It came with a tempered glass lid, so it’s easy to keep an eye on my sauce without lifting the lid.
Being stainless steel, it’s non-reactive to acidic foods.
And it’s very good looking! I love good-looking cookware, and this saucier fits right in.
A saucier is perfect for sauces. (Must be why they call it a saucier!) With the interior completely rounded, there are no edges or corners that a whisk can’t reach, so it’s easy to whisk to perfection. No lumps, no burned bits, no unstirred parts. Just perfectly smooth, creamy hollandaise, or alfredo sauce. Yum!
I find this one a little small for some of the sauces I make, and now that I’ve discovered the joys of a saucier, I’ll probably buy a larger saucier soon. But for small amounts that will fit easily in a one-quart pan, this one is perfect, and at a very nice price. You can get it on both eBay and Amazon.
